System Requirements

• Operating Systems:
  • ucLinux, Linux (on request)
• Image Requirements
  Small pictures should be taken with at least a 1-megapixel camera.Pictures close to A4 size should be taken with 5 megapixel cameras. The camera must have auto focus. Images are stored in memory in an internal format.

No other image formats are supported. Image conversion into various formats is done by the user - details can be found in the documentation.

• Memory Requirements
  Depending on the device, our libraries can be stored either in RAM or on disk. For program files:
  • 2.5-3 MB for main MSDK libraries
  • 0.5-1 MB for each dictionary

• RAM for normal operation:
  • 2.5-3 MB for MSDK libraries
  • 0.5-1 MB for each OCR language that is used
  • 1.5-5 MB for temporary files (depends on the original image size)
  • 1-3 MB to store image
